Hello and welcome! Outside of being a mother to a preschool-aged boy who at times has some BIG emotions to work through, I also have a background as an elementary education teacher with a reading endorsement and years of experience in schools, daycares, and as a nanny.
I felt like this type of book was important for children as these were some major skills that were missing in my life as I grew up (and honestly, many adults still lack).
As instances of anxiety and depression in children and teens continue to skyrocket, it is crucial we begin these conversations early and start an open dialogue about what kids are feeling and how they can be responsible for self-regulation. Feeling emotions is okay, we just have to understand them, too.
